Important Instruction : Points to be noted
- Date for changing Generic Elective and Programme Course (Pass course/General Course) Subjects: 1st August, 2018 to 8th August, 2018.
- Subject change will not be entertained after this time schedule
- Subject change fess: Rs. 200/- per subject.
- BBA is a self financed course. No concession is available for the pursuing this course.
- Any candidate if otherwise eligible can apply maximum six honors subjects including BBA.
- Candidate need to apply for Programme Course (General / Pass Course) separately by additional payment of Rupees 200/-
- Candidates applying for BBA (Hons) should have apply separately with additional payment of Rupees 200/- as it is a Self- Financed subject.
- 75% attendance in first 15 days is a must to continue the studentship in the course, otherwise the candidature will be cancelled.

Eligible Criteria:
Students (Unreserved/OBC- A and OBC- B) who like to pursue any of the above mentioned courses except Microbiology (Honors.) must have to be qualified their 10+2 examinations with the following marks:
- Criteria A – Minimum 60% marks in the subject in which Honours is intended and 50% marks in aggregate at the 10+2 examinations.
- Criteria B – If the student does not satisfy criteria A then they should at least possess 55% marks in the aggregate and minimum 45% marks in the relevant subject at the 10+2 examinations in which he / she likes to pursue Honours.
Students (SC/ST Category) who seek to pursue any of the above mentioned courses except Microbiology (Honours.) must have to be qualified their 10+2 examinations with the following marks:
- Criteria A – Minimum 60% marks in the subject in which Honours is desired and 45% marks in aggregate at the 10+2 examinations.
- Criteria B – If the student does not satisfy criteria A then they should at least possess 50% marks in the aggregate and minimum 45% marks in the relevant subject at the 10+2 examinations in which they want to pursue Honours.
For Microbiology (Hons.) a candidate should have passed the 10+2 examinations with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Students [Programme Course (General Courses)]
- For General Courses an applicant must have passed with at least 40% in the aggregate
- English is a mandatory requirement for pursuing any of the above mentioned courses. A student who has not studied and passed with English at the 10+2 examination will strictly not be considered for admission in this session.

About the Raiganj University:
Raiganj University is a State University came into being on 3rd February 2015 by the Raiganj University Act (West Bengal Act XXVI of 2014) which was passed in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly and including under section UGC 2(F) and 12(B). It is located in Raiganj Sub-Division, which happens to be the District Head Quarters of Uttar Dinajpur. The Raiganj University is unique on many counts.
Firstly, this University has been developed by upgrading an aided under-graduate college namely “Raiganj College (University College)” into a University.
Secondly, it is the first Unitary University in North Bengal which offers both under-graduate and post-graduate courses from its own campus, although there is a provision of affiliation of neighboring under-graduate colleges.
Thirdly, this University also offers General Courses at the under-graduate level. In a way, the Raiganj University is a unique experiment in the Higher Education scenario of West Bengal because an aided college endowed with the resources only compatible with the under-graduate level of education has been upgraded to a Post-Graduate Institution. The activities of Raiganj University are confined not only with the under-graduate and post-graduate teaching- learning. It has been widened with manifold research activities including M.Phil and PhD. programmes. Raiganj University intended to be a teaching, research training centre.
The University is included in the 2(f) and 12(b) clause of the UGC Act, 1954 which confers the right to the University to award degrees. The University almost simultaneously started various Under-Graduate (Honours) Programmes in different discipline from the session 2015-2016. It is worthwhile to mention here that the first Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Raiganj University, Prof. Anil Bhuimali took over the charge in April 16, 2015 and this appointment of Honorable Vice-Chancellor added a great fillip to the teaching, learning and research of newly established University. Despite being the Unitary University status, it had to accommodate the students at the under-graduate level general course under special situation prevailing in Raiganj.
