Merit Calculate Process:
Admission to all the Honours courses will be based strictly on merit. Merit/credit score shall be calculated as per the following formula:
Merit = 2S + T
6
Where S= marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours, T= marks obtained in English + marks obtained in the subject opted for Hons. + best marks of other two subjects (excluding Environmental Studies, English and the subject opted for Honours).
If the candidate does not have the specific subject opted for Honours in his/her previous qualifying examination (10+2 level), the procedure for calculation of merit/credit score will be as follows:
Merit = T1
4
where T1 = marks obtained in English + best of three other subjects (excluding Environmental Studies).
A student who has passed the qualifying 10+2 examinations earlier than 2016 (i.e., 2015, 2014 , 2013, 2012 or 2011) may also apply for admission in the above mentioned UG courses, but for each year lost 2%(Two Percent) marks (per year lost) will be successively deducted from the merit/credit score. Students who have passed 10+2 examinations earlier than 2011 will not be entertained for admission.
