Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been announced to admission in AMU MBBS/ BDS Courses for this year 2016 according to their schedule. Candidates who wants to admission in AMU can apply within the AMU’s Schedule through online for appeared in NEET 2016 for AMU MBBS Course. Every year Central Board of secondary Education has been conducted the NEET entrance examination for admission into MBBS/BDS Programme. CBSE will conduct the NEET 2016 Phase 2 on 24th July, 2016. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2016 Phase 2 is called as an all India level Medical Entrance Exam.
So, those students who opted the qualify NEET 2016 Exam and all India quota medical seats on the basis of NEET Phase 2 result.

MBBS /BDS Entrance Exam held on 10th April, now stands cancel.The separate Entrance Exam for admission to MBBS / BDS will not arranged by the AMU for this year and also they has been decided to admit the students based on their NEET exam Result 2016.

AMU MBBS BDS Application Form (through NEET)

All the Candidates who will be desirous for admission in MBBS / BDS in AMU including those whom roll numbers were allotted to appear in Tier I test have to register themselves online from 23 Jun 2016 to 13 Jul 2016.

Application fee / processing charges :
Candidates who have already applied to AMU and were allotted Roll Numbers will be allowed to register without paying any Registration / Processing fee. However other aspirants are required to Pay Rs. 500/- as processing charges.

After applying online they have to submit PDF generated copy in AMU either in person or through Registered Post by 23rd July 2016. However, PDF generated copy is not required from the candidates whom roll numbers have already been allotted by AMU for appearing in Tier 1 Test.

Updating NEET Score:
within 10 days of the declaration of the result of NEET, registered aspirants shall apply again online along with their score cards of NEET. The link shall be available after NEET has declared its result.

AMU MBBS / BDS Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of this University or an examination recognised by the University as its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Further, the candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Age Limit: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December in the year of admission.

  • Medical (MBBS and BDS) Seats offered through NEET 2016 Phase 2

    • All India Quota Seats.
    • State Government Quota Seats for those states whose state governments are opting for NEET.
    • Private or Management or NRI quota seats in all private medical and dental colleges or any private or deemed university.


    The following type of candidates can apply for NEET 2016 Phase 2.

    • Left out candidates who did not register for AIPMT 2016 or NEET 2016 Phase 1.
    • Candidates who applied for AIPMT 2016 or NEET 2016 Phase 1 but did not appear.
    • Candidates who appeared in AIPMT 2016 or NEET 2016 Phase 1 but think they did not do well in that exam. Such candidates will have to submit undertaking, giving up their candidature for AIPMT 2016 or NEET 2016 Phase 1.

    Exam Pattern

    NEET 2016 Phase 2 exam is similar to All India Pre Medical / Dental Test. Question paper will contain 180 MCQ type questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology. It will be a pen-and-paper based test where students have to mark answers in machine gradable OMR answer sheets. NEET 2016 Phase 2 exam will be in English and Hindi languages.

    Total duration of the exam would be three (3) hours.

    AMU MBBS Entrance Exam 2016 (Cancelled)

    The Tier-1 of the Medical / Dental Admission Test was conducted in AMU Campus as well as in all the outside Admission Test Centres of AMU, as approved by the Academic Council and Tier-2 will be held only in AMU Campus at Aligarh.

    In the Tier-2 Admission Test System for MBBS / BDS, the chance to appear for the Tier-2 Test will be given to 30% of the candidates in order of merit who appear in the Tier-1 Test, in each category of general and internal candidates, subject to a maximum of 15000 candidates, which is the capacity of the University to accommodate. In case an exceedingly large number of candidates appear, the percentage may equitably be reduced, to keep the ceiling to a maximum of 15000 candidates.

    Admit Card to appear in the Admission / Departmental Test is uploaded / issued by the University only to those candidates whose Application form, complete in all respects, has been received in the University on or before the last date of receipt as notified in this Guide.

    There shall be one objective type paper of 200 marks comprising 200 questions on Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology.
