The West Bengal joint entrance examination board (WBJEEB) has conducted the common entrance test for Nursing, Paramedical & Allied Sciences. These Undergraduate Courses held on every year. The board has not published any specific date regarding when JENPAUH/JENPAS (UG) – 2023 will be held in 2023. But it is expected that the common entrance exam time table will be published on their official website within few days. How do you prepare for JENPAS (UG) – 2023 entrance exam?

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the Common Entrance Test for admission to various courses in various colleges and educational institutions of the state of West Bengal. This common exam is conducted every year. Candidates who qualify in the merit list are called for admission to various courses through several rounds of counselling. It is a West Bengal State Level Common Entrance Test. This entrance test is conducted in offline mode.

Below are the details of the courses to which students or candidates are admitted under this entrance test.

The Examination: WBJEEB will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Test JENPAS (UG) – 2023 for admission in various Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session 2023-24 into the following Undergraduate Courses.

JENPAS (UG) – 2023 Common Entrance Test Candidates How to Apply?

Candidates of Common Entrance Test can submit application form in online mode only. The application form should be submitted through the official website of the board. In a few days, the board will release the schedule for the next General Services Exam 2023. Candidates so keep an eye on the official website of the board or our blog page regularly. West Bengal Joint Entrance Board Date List will be published on this blog page soon after announcement. https://wbjeeb.nic.in/

Application Procedure and Rules:

• First candidates have to open the official website on your laptop or computer. The official website of the board will have a point to submit the application form at a specific location, click on it. Then fill the online form very carefully after informing all the details.
• You have to carry admit card, mark sheet, recent passport photograph of the candidate, photocopy of signature and other necessary information. Candidates must upload image in JPG or JPEG format. and upload his signature.
• Candidates are allowed a specified time for revision after submission of application form.
• Candidates can correct any mistake in any part online after filling the form or can go directly to the board with all required documents.

Important Instructions:

• All future communications will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. WBJEEB will not be responsible for non-receipt of any communication due to the mobile number and/or the email ID being wrong/non- existing/nonfunctional/ changed or due to network condition.

• Once the registration details i.e., Name of Candidate, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Gender, Domicile and Date of Birth are entered and submitted, this information cannot be changed / modified/ edited under any circumstances.

• All the information must match exactly with the school/college admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category/income certificates etc. (as applicable) which a candidate has to produce at the time of entering the examination hall, during counselling/admission and registration with the University.

• Do not attempt to make any duplicate application.
• Do not share your application number; password, security question/answer with anyone.
• Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin. If any candidate receives any SMS/email regarding discrepancy in photograph/ signature, he/she must take corrective action immediately within one day. Admit cards will not be issued if these images are illegible and thus not acceptable.

• If any information other than name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth given in the application needs to be corrected, the rectification can be done by the candidate only within the notified ‘Correction Period’. The Board cannot and will not make or allow any correction thereafter.

• The Examination Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card only.
• SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates availing of the concession will have to upload/submit respective certificates in given formats at the time of counselling, failing which his/her candidature will be cancelled.
• The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.
• Do not wait for the last day to make fee payment to avoid payment failure by Bank or EPG.
• Keep copies of confirmation page, admit card in safe custody.
• Candidates are requested to go through the Board’s website (www.wbjeeb.nic.in/ wbjeeb.in) regularly to update themselves for the latest information.
• Appearing for the examination and even obtaining a rank do not guarantee admission. Rules as will be applicable at the time of counselling will determine allotment and admission criteria. Candidates must make themselves aware of the latest rules and criteria for admission into different University/Institution and other specific criteria issued by the Government/Regulatory bodies from time to time. Board will not be responsible by any way, if any candidate fails to aware himself/herself regularly on any updated information.

Important Dates of West Bengal Common Entrance Exam JENPAS(UG)-2023 (Tentative)

• Date for Filling Common Entrance Test Application Form 2023 – First week of March 2023.
• Last date for filling up of forms – 4th week of March 2023.
• Downloading of confirmation page and online correction – 4th week of March 2023.
• Admit card availability on – 3rd week of June 2023.
• Entrance exam date – 4th week of June 2023.
• Entrance exam Result will be published on 4th week of July 2023.
• Counseling for BSC nursing will be held on first week of August 2023.

Eligible criteria : JENPAS (UG) – 2023

For BPT:
• Candidates mast have passed 12 class for HS under West Bengal council of higher secondary education or any recognised board or its equivalent.
• Candidates 12th class or HS passed with the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English as a compulsory subject.
• Candidates must have scored individual pass mark in each of the following subjects.

BSc Nursing : JENPAS (UG) – 2023

• Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the BSc nursing course.
• Candidates must passed 12th class level examination of West Bengal council of higher secondary education from a recognised board or its equivalent.
• Twelve class level examination passed with the subjects of biology chemistry physics and English as compulsory subject.
• The candidates mast score individual pass marks in each of the following subjects.
• For the general category – candidates must be scored 45% mark at the 10+ 2 level.
• for ST SC OBC -A and B, PWD – candidates must be score 40% mark at the 10 + 2 level.
•And finally the main subjects, all candidates must be medically fit to Undertake the course
• Candidates should not less than 17 years of age
• No upper age limit is prescribed

Pattern of Question Papers:

1. The test will consist of two papers namely, Paper-I and Paper-II.
2. Paper-II is for admission in BHA course only and Paper-I is for other courses.
3. During application, a candidate can apply for only Paper-I or only Paper-II or for both.

All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options. Time for each paper is 1½ hours. The questions will be in both English and Bengali language (except English, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge).

Syllabus:

1) Paper-1 (for all courses other than BHA) will be based on 11th and 12th standard syllabi and curriculum of the recognized Board/Councils in India (see list at website).
2) Paper-2 (for BHA) The content of Physical Science and Mathematics will be based on 10th standard syllabi of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent and recognized Boards / Councils in India and the content of General Knowledge, English and Logical reasoning will be equivalent to 12th standard curriculum.
