CG PET 2017 Exam Dates, Eligibility Criteria and Application Form Now Available.
CG PET 2017: Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) will be conducting CG Pre-Engineering Test (PET) 2017 on 11th May, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. CGVYAPAM will conduct CG PET so as to fill UG engineering and agricultural seats in the colleges and universities in Chhattisgarh. The application form for CG PET 2017 is now available until April 13, 2017. The B.E admission in the state will also be granted on the basis of JEE Main 2017. CBSE conducts Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. It is a national level examination. This year, JEE Main 2017 will be on April 02, 08, and 09, 2017. The application process for the examination has ended and the registered candidates can now download their JEE Main 2017 Admit Card. The result of JEE Main will release on April 27, 2017.

CG PET 2017 Application Form
The CG PET Application Form has only been released online. Candidates can access it by clicking on the link above. The process for submitting the application form is as below:

- Choose PET, PPHT, or Both option.
- Then, the application form will appear. In it, the candidates will have to submit personal, contact, and education details. Uploading of photograph is also to be done.
- Lastly, the candidates will have to submit the application fee and download the copy of the confirmation page.
The application fee for CG PET 2017 is as mentioned below. The candidates can submit it through Net Banking, Debit / Credit Card or Challan.
- OBC – Rs. 150
- General – Rs. 200
- SC/ST/PWD – Rs. 100
CG PET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
It is a must for all the candidates to fulfill the eligibility criteria of CG PET 2017. It is advisable that the candidates ensure they are eligible before filling the application fee, since it is non-refundable. It is also important to realize that only eligible candidates will be considered for admission. The CG PET 2017 eligibility criteria are as mentioned below:
Age Limit: The applicant must not be less than 17 years old, as on December 31, 2017. The upper age bar is 30 years, as on July 1, 2017.
- Relaxation of 3 years has been provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
Education Qualification: The candidates must have passed 10+2/equivalent with 45% marks. Under CG PET 2017, Mathematics and Physics will be termed as the core subjects. However, along with it, the candidates must have had Biology/Chemistry/Bio-Technology as the optional subject.
- For the candidates belonging to reserved category the required minimum marks is 40%
Domicile: Residents of Chhattisgarh, as well as other states, may apply for CG PET. However, candidates seeking CG Quota must possess the Domicile.
Quota under CG PET 2017:
CG Quota – Chhattisgarh State Quota is only for the residents of the state.
OS Quota – The Other State Quota, as the name suggests, allows residents of other states to apply for the admission in Chhattisgarh. The merit of the OS Quota candidates will be prepared on the basis of JEE Main 2017 Score.
MGT – Under the Management Quota candidates from all the states are welcome. The merit will be prepared on the basis of CG PET 2017 or JEE Main 2017.
CG PET 2017 Admit Card
Candidates who only the registered will be able to download hall ticket of CG PET 2017. It will also be issued online and the link to download it will be provided on this page. To acquire it, candidates will have to enter the Registration Number and Password. The admit card is an important document and with it, candidates can enter examination hall. Also, it will be required during the counselling. Hence, the candidates must preserve it properly, until the final admission.

CG PET 2017 Exam Center
The candidates can submit their choice for the exam center in the application form. Exam conducting body checks availability of exam seats and allots test center which candidates see in admit card. In application form, candidates can submit multiple choices for CG PET 2017 exam center. Also, once center allotment completes, it is fixed.

CG PET 2017 Exam Pattern
CG PET 2017 will be a 3 hours examination, in which candidates will have to solve 150 multiple choice questions. All the questions will be from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. The total marks in the exam will 150. The 1 mark will only be awarded if the correct answer option has been chosen. Favoring the candidates, negative marking is not applicable in the exam.

CG PET 2017 Result
Chhattisgarh Vyapam will declare result of CG PET 2017 in the month of May 2017. It will indicate score as well as rank of the candidates. Seat allocation will be as per CG PET 2017 merit list. However, for the candidates applying through JEE Main 2017, there will be a separate merit list. The link to check both the merit list will be provided on result page.
CG PET 2017 Counselling
The counselling of CG PET 2017 will be held separately for the JEE and PET qualifiers. For the JEE Main qualifiers, it will start ahead of that for the PET candidates. The schedule of it will be announced later on. However, the process of it will be the same for all the candidates.
The process of CG PET 2017 Counselling:
- The qualified candidates will first have to register and submit the choices online.
- Then, they will appear for document verification.
- Once, the verification is done, the seat allotment result will be announced.
Candidates can then accept the seat or withdraw it to participate in next round of counselling. In each round, the registration and choice filling will be done anew. In all, there will be three rounds of counselling.
