The panel, which was created on the basis of the candidate’s educational qualification number, will no longer have that rule in the new system.

Previously, the higher elementary, Ninth-Tenth and Eleventh-Twelfth levels had to give separate exams, but now, in this new rule, if a candidate has the educational qualification instead of the different tests for three levels, he/she will only have to give a written test for any level or all levels. In consultation with the Department of Education, the School Service Commission will inform the SSC about the number of vacancies in various categories. From now on, the teacher recruitment agency SSC or the School Service Commission will keep the answer sheet for all the candidates for three years.

Teachers organizations in West Bengal have welcomed the new notification, but many have questioned whether the number of candidates on the educational qualification should not be considered in the panel.
