How To Prepare For NEET 2017?

NEET UG 2017 preparation consists of five key factors namely,

  1. Exam pattern
  2. Syllabus
  3. Theoretical understanding of concepts
  4. Application of theory in problem-solving
  5. Speed and accuracy

Know the NEET 2017 Exam Pattern. As mentioned above, it is expected that the exam pattern of NEET UG 2017 will be similar to that of AIPMT / NEET held last year. In the event that question / marks distribution remains the same, then you can know that there are to be 180 questions overall. Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology will have 45 questions each. Hence you should pay attention to all these four subjects.

Go through all topics given in NEET 2017 Syllabus. If you have paid attention to class 11 and 12 level Physics, Chemistry, Biology, then preparation for NEET UG 2017 will be easier. Now all you need to do is download exam syllabus, as well as check that you have covered all topics. If any topic is left out, study the same from CBSE recommended books such as NCERT, or from any book that you are better able to understand the topic from.

Study topics from the syllabus and understand theory to form strong basics for NEET preparation. In other words, a good grasp of theoretical concepts is important in the first place. Although the exam contains multiple choice objective type questions, still knowing theory only will help you apply them properly. It is advisable to refer one or two good books only, instead of several, for this purpose.

Practice questions for NEET exam. There are many good books available that have multiple choice questions specifically for NEET 2017. Solve as many questions, as you can, to develop an ability to answer questions based on an understanding of the topic.

NEET 2017 previous year solved papers and practice tests are important. Attempt all of them in a simulated exam environment for best results.
