At the meeting, the Hon’ble Union Education Minister said that the current situation is not conducive to testing, as the corona virus infection is still going on and we are still fighting all over the world to prevent this coronavirus, until we have the right measures to prevent it. Because in this situation it is very difficult to take school, college or exam.

Therefore, the 10th and 12th class board examinations will not be held between January and February next year and the decision on when will be taken will be announced in February after discussions.

I have received many requests from students and teachers to postpone CBSE Board exams for 10th and 12th class, keeping in mind the COVID-19 epidemic, we have decided that board exams will not be held in February next year. “Dates will be announced soon”, Union Education Minister Mr Pokhriyal tweeted.

The Hon’ble Union Education Minister said that board exams will not be held online as opposed to classes, as “many schools are in rural areas”. The government board has been consulting with students about taking the exam and said the majority was in favor of it. “CBSE board exams will be held in reduced syllabus. Thirty per cent of the total syllabus has been canceled. As many states have announced, others will announce it soon. There will also be 33 per cent internal choice in board exams,” said the Hon’ble Union Education Minister.

Despite widespread flooding, partial COVID- induced lockdowns and severe infections, millions of students took the entrance exams for engineering and medical colleges in September this year – JEE and NEET – wrote that the Supreme Court dismissed a plea alleging “life must go on”.
