Ahmedabad University has been published a notification for Admissions into various courses for the academic year 2017-18. Candidates who are eligible for admission into various courses can apply through online or offline from the official page only. Application Instructions:

The application should be filled out solely by the student. Parents, siblings or other relatives should not fill out the form on the student’s behalf.

3.Carefully read about the admissions process for 2017 and also read through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) as there are significant changes for this upcoming year. Please note that admission to the programmes in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) is through the ACPC. This form is only for BBA, BCOM, BCOM Professionals, iMBA, iMSc.

Undergraduate Admission 2017 : Ahmedabad University

The Office of Admission and Financial aid aims to enroll a diverse class of talented students from across India and the World. At Ahmedabad University, there is a spirit of inquiry, of discovery, entrepreneurship and an environment that fosters the holistic development of students.

Beginning with the 2017-2018 academic year, the University is implementing a holistic review in our undergraduate admissions processes for UG programs EXCEPT School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Students will be evaluated using both quantitative and qualitative methods, in order to construct a student body of diverse talents, abilities and backgrounds who we believe to be a best fit with the University’s mission, culture and values and who demonstrate the academic preparation, personal qualities and potential to thrive in our unique learning environment.

Admission to all undergraduate programs except School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and all categories will follow the procedures outlined here. Approximately 85% of the admissions to the Professional Technical Courses (i.e. B.Tech) are determined by the Admission Committee for Professional Programs (ACPC), a committee set up by the state government under the provisions of the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007. The University firmly believes that admitted students should not be denied access to education on account of monetary constraints and has an unwavering commitment to providing financial aid in the form of partial coverage of fees to almost complete waiver to students who are eligible as per the University’s policy and who apply by the deadline.

Admissions Process for BBA, B.Com, B.Com Professional, iMBA, iMsc programmes ONLY:

There will be 2 rounds of admission with two deadlines for submitting the application form. Students should apply in only 1 round and not both.  We encourage students to apply as early as possible and use the online form. You do not need to wait until May when the Board results are in to apply. In each round, there will be two parts to the application form.

Round 1 (Early Admission):

  • Students Currently in 12th Standard who will appear for Board Exams in May
  • Submit part 1 of the application by January 5th. Submit part 2 (12th marks) by May 30th.
  • Admissions committee will evaluate the applications based on the students’ academic performance in 10th and 11th standard, preliminary exam scores or predicted grades/marks as well as all other information provided on the application.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Students may be asked to write a short essay during the interview.
  • Based on all aspects of the application and the interview, selected students will be offered either:
    01. “Conditional admission”  (which will be finalized after submission of 12th standard results)
    02. or their application will be re-evaluated after  evaluation after submission of 12th standard marks in May.
  • Final confirmation of admission will be after 12th standard results are obtained and documents are verified for authenticity.

Students who have already passed out from 12th standard.

  • Submit both part 1 and part 2 of the application together by January 5th including results from 10th -12th standard.
  • Admissions committee will evaluate the applications based on the students’ academic performance in 10th through 12th standard as well as all other information provided on the application.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Students may be asked to write a short essay during the interview.
  • Based on all aspects of the application and the interview, selected students will be notified of “firm offer of admission” (which will be confirmed after all documents have been verified for authenticity) or “Denial of Admission”.

Round 2:

Students Currently in 12th Standard who will appear for Board Exams in May

  • Submit part 1 of the application by April 15th. Submit part 2 (12th marks) by May 30th.
  • Admissions committee will evaluate the applications based on the students’ academic performance in 10th and 11th standard as well as all other information provided on the application.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Students may be asked to write a short essay during the interview.
  • Based on all aspects of the application and the interview, selected students will be offered “conditional offer of admission” (which will be finalized after submission of 12th standard results and verification of documents) or their application will be re-evaluated after evaluation after submission of 12th standard marks in May.

Students who have already passed out from 12th standard:

  • Submit both part 1 and part 2 of the application together by April 15th including results from 10th -12th standard.
  • Admissions committee will evaluate the applications based on the students’ academic performance in 10th through 12th standard as well as all other information provided on the application.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Students may be asked to write a short essay during the interview.
  • Based on all aspects of the application and the interview, selected students will be offered a “firm offer of admission” (which will be confirmed after all documents have been verified for authenticity) or “Denial of Admission”.
