The West Bengal Higher Education Department, following a directive from the Chief Minister, has extended the Phase‑1 registration and application deadline to July 25, 2025. This is the second extension—originally closing June 18–July 1, then extended to July 15, and now further until July 25

- Approximately 19.93 lakh applications submitted by 3.48 lakh students, including around 3,787 from outside West Bengal
- Submissions cover admissions to 460 government/state‑aided colleges across 17 universities.
